For too long, the party supply industry has been dominated by big-box retailers offering uninspired, mass-produced products with little regard for style. Seri Kertzner, a professional party planner with a keen eye for design, saw the need for a fresh, more curated approach. Enter The Social Society, a boutique party supply destination located in Ponte Vedra, Florida (and online everywhere else!) that redefines what it means to celebrate. From stylish tableware to unique décor and gifts, The Social Society offers a handpicked selection of chic products, making it the ultimate one-stop shop for all things party.

Seri’s vision for the brand was simple: it had to radiate fun and joy. The brand’s identity draws inspiration from the post-war era—a time of abundance, celebration, and joy. Vintage cocktail napkins and other nostalgic ephemera from this period influenced the brand's layered typography, where modern faces blend effortlessly with timeless classics. We were also inspired by mid-century Swiss packaging, known for its striking use of color, negative space, and clean geometric shapes. The result? A vibrant, joyful brand identity that celebrates life and elevates every occasion.

I worked closely with the founder across all touchpoints of the brand – big and small – from writing taglines, to designing custom products to sell in-store.
